Hello, I'm Evelyn Wood and I'm sure you will enjoy my new adventure story The search for journey's end. It's an amazing story about Brownie (a dog) Clarence (a cat) and Sebastian (a mouse) who join forces to search for Sebastian's birth place that he remembers as a land of peace and plenty. They are joined, on their journey, by a pigeon called Herbert, Peter B, a badger and Blinky the Owl. Mary and Peter, two children help them too. Of course, it's not all plain sailing and they have to contend with a mad bull, an angry guard dog, vicious weasels, hungry owls and very bad foxes. Join them on their journey and enjoy its thrills with them. I've always been fascinated by the natural world and its infinite variety and in the Exploring with Too Woo series featuring the teaching owl, I share that interest. The series looks at different creatures, describing their lives from egg to adult. Butterflies, bees and frogs are featured in the first three fully illustrated books. As a boy, I spent hours watching the Puss Moth caterpillars
that lived on the Willow tree in our garden. They are handsome creatures and, I was told,
could spray acid from their two tails if attacked. This early fascination stayed
with me during a career in agriculture and business. Please check out Library and school talks |
